Classic, Clean Baton Rouge New Residential Construction on Annabelle

Posted on: April 2nd, 2017

STONE was approached by this homeowner at the outset of their new construction process for their home on Annabelle in Old Goodwood, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The homeowner had a clear vision of their style and design which maintained a clean aesthetic and classic styling.

The rich, deep color combinations, seen in the kitchen with the two-toned cabinets, in cadet blue and a creamy white, pair nicely with the darker, wide plank wood flooring. The versatility in color is subdued in an elegant fashion with the polished marble counter tops, finished with a bullnose edge profile. The backsplash in the kitchen utilizes a 3” x 6” First Snow Elegance honed and polished marble tile in a brick laid pattern. The welcoming, luxurious feel of the kitchen is rounded out with a single basin, undermount stainless steel sink, matte nickel faucet and potfiller, and copper cookware and decorative accents.

The master bathroom continues the sumptuous feel of luxury and clean, monochromatic pallette. The spa-like sensation felt upon entering the master bath stems from the use of white washed tile and slabs. The flooring, shower walls, and tub deck and surround use a 12” x 24” glazed porcelain tile in Bianco 19 from Linden Point. The shower floor and accent wall employ a 3” x 6” white Carrera marble tile with the shower floor in a brick laid pattern and the accent wall in a herringbone pattern. Shower fixtures are brass finished rain shower and single valve/handle. The countertops are a white Carrera marble with a polished finish and bullnose edge profile, with 2 undermount ceramic sinks and brass finished faucets.

The butler’s pantry showcases the ability to make a smaller space feel open and airy with the continuation of the whites and greys and timeless accents with matte fixtures and simple décor. The backsplash of 3” x 6” First Snow Elegance marble tiles in a brick laid pattern, also used in the kitchen, can be seen in the butler’s pantry and is a perfect complement to the 2 cm white Carrera marble countertops with an eased edge profile. The single basin bar sink, in stainless steel, is undermount, adding to the clean lines of the space.

Not seen in the images below are the carpet featured in the bedrooms with the monochromatic creamy whites, accomplished through the use of Southwinds Sisal Coir in color Bramble.

The execution of such simple and timeless design showcase how quality materials and craftsmanship can accomplish the task of outfitting a home that will stand the test of time.
